Additional Information |
The first four stones were cut by the author using a faceting machine. The last stone is a cabochon shape cut in the traditional way. The better lapis has nearly pure blue with flecks of iron pyrite (golden dots or small crystals). The value of lapis declines with more of the white calcite. The amount of pyrite present is a personal judgement call. |
